Isaiah 43:18-21
“Behold, I will do something new.
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?”
God is not asking you to pretend the past never happened.
He is asking you to stop living there because in Christ, the new has already begun.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
Think
Do you still struggle with things from the past:
guilt
shame
trauma
an old name
an old story
Isaiah says we no longer have to ponder those former things, because God has promised He is making something new; and in Christ, He already has.
If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.
The old has passed away.
Behold, new things have come.
Give Him the praise and the glory.

Help me to lay aside my past guilt, shame, trauma, and sin at Your feet today.
Make my mind and life new in You.
